Summary

libcasimir 0.1 is out!

Description

The library libcasimir implements the numerics of the Casimir effect in the plane-sphere geometry for perfect spheres using a scattering approach [1,2]. A sphere of radius R is separated by a distance of L from a plane. The plane is infinite in the xy-direction and both plane and sphere are assumed to be perfect reflectors. The library and its front end programs can calculate the free energy F(T,R/L) as a function of temperature and R/L.

Support for Drude metals is on the way, but not working at the moment.

This library is part of my master thesis. For more information, e.g. the scaling, pleasse refer to thesis.pdf.

Much of the data past this point we don't have good examples of yet. Please share in #rdi slack if you have good examples for anything that appears below. Thanks!
